Pop-rock stalwart Todd Rundgren will produce the new album by New York Dolls, according to NME.com.
Rundgren produced the glam-rockers' eponymous debut in 1973, and is set to repeat the task in January, when he'll begin studio sessions with guitarist Sylvain Sylvain and frontman David Johansen.
Johansen said in a statement: "We're really excited to be working with Todd again. We're hoping to recapture the same magic on the forthcoming album."
New York Dolls played a couple of Irish gigs earlier this year, supporting long-time fan Morrissey in Dublin and Cork.
