Terrible news emerged from the UK this morning, as three people have been killed returning from Bestival after a coach they were travelling on overturned and hit a tree on Monday night.

The coach veered off a carriageway in Surrey at about 11.50pm last night and hit a tree. No other cars were involved in the accident.

Three were declared dead at the scene, while one person was air-lifted to Southampton General Hospital with "life changing injuries", according to local police.

A further 50 passengers were also taken to hospital.

The road conditions weren't dangerous, according to investigating Officer Richard Mallett. "I understand the road was dry. We cannot see any reason that the road conditions would have any effect on what occurred", said Mallett.

New Order, Stevie Wonder, Florence + The Machine, Sigur Ros and New Order were among the acts playing the festival at the Robin Hill Country Park in the Isle of Wight.
