Thom Yorke, Mark Ronson and Bryan Ferry are among the celebrities appearing on a silent charity single to mark Remembrance Day on November 11th.

The annual ceremony honours Britain's armed forces and commemorates the sacrifices they have made for their country. As minute silences are often observed in remembrance, the Royal British Legion felt that 2 minutes recorded silence would be a more fitting tribute than any music or song. Director General Chris Simpkins said, "Rather than record a song, we felt the UK public would recognise the poignancy of silence and its clear association with remembrance."

Simply entitled '2 Minute Silence', the single's video features well known celebrities standing in silence for the 2 minute duration. As well as Yorke and Ronson, Prime Minister David Cameron, actor Bob Hoskins and tennis star Andy Murray also feature in the video.

'2 Minute Silence' will be available for download from November 7th with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion to help fund their support to the armed forces personnel.
