Why is it that the best news is always ridiculous rumours that have absolutely no basis in fact!? The latest of said exciting rumours features Thom Yorke in talks to compose for the soundtrack of the latest Terminator movie.

Terminator: Salvation director McG has a reputation for roping in credible "artistes" for commercial, mainstream projects and, rumour has it, he has set his sights on Radiohead's  frontman to join Tim Burton's favourite music man, Danny Elfman, on the score of the movie. According to the Playlist, McG told audiences at last weekends Comic Con in New York, that he had spoken to York about teaming up with Gustavo Santaolalla, the Argentinian responsible for the scores of Amores Perros and Brokeback Mountain.

Despite the certainty that any music composed by Thom Yorke would undoubtedly suit Terminator: Salvation down to the ground, it does seem a far too large and mainstream project for him to have any sort of interest in. Unsurprisingly, a Radiohead representative confirmed this is all one big evil rumour. Shame...
