Drake may have won big at the Billboard Music Awards last night, but he's no longer the record holder for the only artist with a song that's reached one billion Spotify plays.

Up until this weekend, Drake had held that illustrious title for his song 'One Dance' - but he now needs to make room for The Chainsmokers, as their song with Halsey, 'Closer', has now also hit that milestone.

'Closer' had racked up 1 billion plays on YouTube quite a while ago, but this is their first mammoth hit on the streaming service.

There are a few other songs likely to hit the same number of plays in the near future, including 'Lean On' by Major Lazer, Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' and Ed Sheeran's 'Shape Of You' - but as of now, it's a party for two with Drake and The Chainsmokers.
