25 years ago The Stunning rented a farmhouse in Galway and, when they emerged sometime later, their first album Paradise In The Picturehouse was written and recorded. Now, to mark the anniversary of the album's inception, The Stunning have announced details of an anniversary gig in Dublin's Vicar Street on Friday 21st September.

Paradise In The Picturehouse would go on to spend five weeks in the number one spot and earned a reputation as one of the finest Irish albums of its time. Its successor Once Around The World also hit the summit of the charts, earning the band a significant portion of their 100,000 album sales in this country.

Despite calling it quits in 1994, The Stunning remain one of Ireland's most revered acts. They reunited in 2003 and have gone on to play a series of sold out shows across the country, as well as festival slots at the likes of Electric Picnic and more.

Paradise In The Picturehouse and Tightrope have been re-issued on Dirtbird Records and are available now in shops and from www.thestunning.net and iTunes. Tickets for the Vicar Street show on September 21st are on sale now from usual outlets nationwide.
