Ska pioneers The Specials have confirmed that they will reunite for a tour in 2009.

The Terry Hall-led Coventry band will reform to celebrate their 30th anniversary year, and the line-up will feature all original members of the band (including Hall, Neville Staple and Lynval Golding) except keyboardist Jerry Dammers.

Hall told NME that "the door is open" to Dammers, and added: "It's the right time to do it - we talked about it at 25 but we weren't together enough. Now we're all getting on and it feels comfortable again."

The Specials have confirmed several dates across the UK in April, but so far, Irish dates have yet to be annouced. Watch this space.
