Good news for Irish fans of The National - the New York-based band will play Dublin later this year.

Matt Berninger and his bandmates will release their ninth album 'First Two Pages of Frankenstein' on April 28th, and will embark on a tour to promote it.

That tour will include a date at Dublin's 3Arena on Thursday, September 21st with support from Soccer Mommy.

Tickets are on sale next Friday, January 27th from usual outlets at 10am.

The album, meanwhile, will feature guest appearances from Phoebe Bridgers, Sufjan Stevens and Taylor Swift; The National's Aaron Dessner produced Swift's recent albums 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'.
