Swedish rockers The Hives have teamed up with 1980s pop star Cyndi Lauper for a Christmas single.
The unusual collaboration is called 'A Christmas Duel' and will be available to download for free from The Hives website on November 28th, 29th and 30th. After that, it goes on general release on December 1st.
The Hives said, of the single: "It may sound weird and come as a surprise to some, but we had to. It came to us. It landed in our lap and was way too good to shake or toss. We knew we had to record it. A sign if you will."
