Sunday night saw Las Vegas welcome the best musical talent from around the world in a ceremony hosted by Trevor Noah.

Despite not being the most dramatic of ceremonies, there were still a number of memorable moments from throughout the night.

Olivia Rodrigo, Silk Sonic and Jon Batiste came out as the big winners on the night and we saw some big performances from the likes of BTS, Justin Bieber and Lil Nas X.

Here are some of the biggest moments of the night.

1. Doja Cat taking a badly-timed bathroom break

When Avril Lavigne announced the winners for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for 'Kiss Me More,' only SZA stood up to accept the award. The notable omission was Doja Cat, who it turns out went to the toilet at the worst possible moment. Luckily for her SZA was on crutches so took a bit longer to get on stage.

After running up on stage in the nick of time, Doja said, "I've never taken such a fast piss in my whole life."

After the laughs, the rapper got emotional saying "I like to downplay shit. But this? It's a big deal."

2. Ukrainian President Zelensky addresses the audience in video message

In a pre-recorded video, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told the audience to "fill the silence with your music"

"Our musicians wear body armour instead of tuxedos. They sing to the wounded, in hospitals. Even to those who can't hear them. But the music will break through anyway."

3. Louis C.K. wins for best comedy album and people weren't happy

In a very 'Yikes' moment, presenter on the night LeVar Burton announced that the winner for best comedy album was disgraced comedian Louis C.K. for his 'Sincerely, Louis C.K.' show beating fellow comedians Kevin Hart, Nate Bargatze, Lewis Black, Chelsea Handler and Lavell Crawford.

"Damn, I will accept this on his behalf," said Burton as the 54 didn't show for the ceremony. As soon as the award winner was announced, Twitter blew up in a storm of angry tweets.

One user replied to the Recording Academy saying, so much for 'cancel culture' apparently you can just do whatever you want if you're famous."

In 2017 The New York Times released an article including several accusations of sexual misconduct by the comedian. C.K. had tentatively returned to comedy in the last few years.

4. BTS are snubbed again

BTS and the Grammys have a complicated relationship. The South Korean megastars have performed on the night multiple times now, bringing in a huge audience of their devoted fans. However, they have failed to win an award, despite being nominated several times.

The septet performed their hit 'Butter' last night in front of a star-studded audience. The performance included a rather flirty moment between member V and Olivia Rodrigo, as the singer sat down beside the triple-Grammy winner and whispered in her ear.

They failed once again to pick up the award for their nominated category of best pop/duo performance with 'Butter'. This injustice then led to the hashtag #Scammys trend on Twitter as the band's fans were not happy, and rightfully so given the success of the band.

5. Billie Eilish's tribute to Taylor Hawkins

The news broke last week of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins passing away suddenly at the age of 50. The band won three Grammy awards last night and were set to perform but weren't present for obvious reasons.

However, Billie Eilish took to the stage performing her hit 'Happier Than Ever' with a tshirt of Hawkins' face on the front in homage to the drummer.

Host Noah also paid tribute saying, "This was the moment in the show when I was supposed to be introducing the Foo Fighters. We would have been celebrating with them as they won three Grammy awards earlier today. But they are, of course, not here due to the passing of their legendary drummer Taylor Hawkins. Our thoughts go out to Taylor's family, his friends, the Foo Fighter family and all of their fans around the world. We’d like to take a moment now to remember Taylor."
