Other Voices is always a highlight on the calendar of not only Irish music fans, but also the musicians who get to travel to one of the most beautiful corners of our country to ply their wares each year.

The first acts that will make their way to Dingle, Co. Kerry this year have just been announced - as well as the festival's new sponsorship partnership with eir; it's now known as the eir Other Voices Festival.

Lisa Hannigan - who heads up the first batch of artists - made the announcement via eir's Facebook page today, announcing that rapper Rejjie Snow, singer-songwriter Pixie Geldof, Canadian musician Margaret Glaspy, Dublin indie band Girl Band and poet/artist Kojey Radical will be joining her at St. James's Church from December 2nd - 4th.

More than seventy artists will also play free gigs on the Other Voices Music Trail over the weekend, while this year's TV series from Dingle will also include footage from the recent Other Voices Texas sessions, which included everyone from Willie Nelson to Conor Oberst to Mumford and Sons.

More acts will be announced in the coming weeks, while Jim Carroll's talk series Banter will once again return to Foxy John's bar.
