At the end of a gloomy and dreary year befitting of The Cure, the English goth rock icons have announced Dublin and Belfast dates for next year.

The Cure last graced Irish audiences with a sold-out show at Malahide Castle in June 2019, and will play Dublin's 3Arena and Belfast's SSE Arena on December 1st and 2nd next year.

Critically acclaimed Scottish band The Twilight Sad will be the support act for the gigs, and the Dublin and Belfast stops serve as part of The Cure's 44 show odyssey across Europe in 2022.

Formed in 1978, The Cure has cemented themselves as one the biggest names in rock music, with a murderers row of classic hits such as 'Just Like Heaven', 'Friday I'm In Love', 'Lullaby', 'Pictures Of You', 'Lovesong' among a selection of the tunes fans can expect to hear at the gigs next December.

The Cure were introduced into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2019 for their contributions to rock music.

With over 1500 concerts and 13 studio albums under their belts, fans can expect a great show from the Sussex rock icons.

Tickets will be on sale this Friday, December 10th at 9am on Ticketmaster.ie.
