It's official: We've been to the Year 3000 and seen it all now. McBusted have been announced as the headline act for a massive summer gig in London's Hyde Park and the Backstreet Boys are their support act.

The newly formed pop supergroup left their critics choking on their dust as fans clamoured to nab tickets for their 2014 tour, which is currently scheduled to finish up in Dublin on June 2nd 2014. With demand for tickets rising the tour, which was originally scheduled for a handful of dates across March and April, has now been extended into May and June, with dates in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Anyway, the big gig in question is Hyde Park's British Summer Time concert, which takes place on Sunday, July 6th, 2014. The McBusted lads had been hinting at a big announcement all weekend and finally tweeted their good news this morning: "Have you heard? MCBUSTED ARE HEADLINING @BSTHydePark on Sunday 6th July... Tickets go on sale Friday at 9am!"

However, that wasn't the end of it. British Summertime Hyde Park (that's what the BST stand for) went on to reveal that the show will be supported by special guests The Backstreet Boys, who play their own set of shows across the UK in March and April.

Now, I'm going to put my hands up here and reveal that I am indeed a McBusted fan but can we please talk about the fact that the Backstreet Boys, as in the boyband who broke America and pretty much every country on the planet back in the day, are the support act? Tell me why...
