Jack Black and his partner in rock, Kyle Gass, will make their Dublin return later this year when they play a pre-Christmas show at The Academy in Dublin on Tuesday December 17th.

The last time that the duo was in town they played a full band show to a packed house in The O2. This time around it'll be a much more stripped back affair, with just JB and KG up there - though they could be joined at any moment by Satan himself for a guitar solo or two.

The last Tenacious D album, 2012's Rise of the Fenix, which featured Dave Grohl behind the kit, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Album.

Tix for the show are priced at €49.50 and are on sale from this Friday at 9am.
