If you thought that the various YouTube records set by a video as enormous as Psy's 'Gangnam Style' were difficult to beat, you didn't count on Taylor Swift.

Swift sent the internet into meltdown last Friday when she released her comeback video 'Look What You Made Me Do' - and now the stats have been revealed.

The video was watched an incredible 43.2 million times in the first 24 hours alone - a figure which equates to 30,000 views per minute.

It smashed Gangnam Style's former record of 36 million views in the first 24 hours.

The most-watched video on YouTube is currently 'Despacito', which was only crowned earlier this month and currently sits at 3.4 billion views.

Swift's highest placing on the 'most watched' list is 'Shake It Off' (2.3 billion) at number 7 - but with 'Look What You Made Me Do' at 72 million views (at time of writing) in less than a week, it's only a matter of time before she's challenging for a higher placing.
