The iHeartRadio Awards took place last night, and Taylor Swift stole the show.

As awards season begins to wind down, the iHeartRadio Music Awards took place in Los Angeles last night. Among the winners on the night was Taylor Swift, who won Tour of the Year for Reputation, and Best Music Video for 'Delicate'.

However, even before the awards began, Swift was turning heads because of her outfit. Eagle-eyed fans noticed in particular that the singer was wearing butterfly wings on her red carpet shoes.

It may have been a reference to all of the snake emojis Swift was sent on social media by trolls in recent months. And fans were here for her butterfly reincarnation.

Swift later took to the stage after winning the Tour of the Year award, and gave a touching speech dedicated to her fans. She spoke about the hate she was blasted with, even before her tour kicked off; but her fans always stayed with her, and she wouldn't be where she is if it wasn't for them. She also teased about new music, saying "when there is new music, you will be the first to know."

So, yep, we're still waiting on the new music Tay-Tay.

Elsewhere at the awards, Ariana Grande pre-recorded her acceptance speech for winning Artist of the Year, due to her tour kicking off in a matter of days. She also recorded a rendition of 'Needy' from her latest release, 'Thank U, Next'.

Four-time Grammy award-winning Kacey Musgraves was joined by Chris Martin of Coldplay to perform 'Rainbow' while she sat on top of... well, a rainbow.

Alicia Keys brought her son Egypt to join her up on stage. The eight-year-old played the piano, in what was a very touching moment.

And finally, Chris Pratt introduced the Artist of the Decade Garth Brooks, before joining the country singer on stage too.
