It's been a big week for Taylor Swift.
Not only was her long-running feud with former arch-nemesis Katy Perry officially brought to an end, but she's got a new song and album, too.
'You Need to Calm Down' is taken from her forthcoming album 'Lover', which was announced yesterday.
It sees Swift in political mode, as she lends her support to GLAAD, the US organisation that draws attention to discrimination against LGBT+ people. "Why are you mad when you could be GLAAD?'," she sings - a line that's sure to resonate during Pride month.
She nails her flag the mast when she sings: "You just need to take several seats and then try to restore the peace / And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate / 'Cause shade never made anybody less gay."
Hear the song below; the video will follow on Monday. "“I wanted you to hear the song first, then see the video,” she said on Instagram. “Because the video is very worth the wait. There’s a lot going on in the video so I wanted that to be a separate discovery.”
Her seventh album 'Lover' is out on August 23rd.
