Despite us thinking last week that the 'Mongrel' scheduled to play The Academy were a Boston punk band - hey, information was non-existent until yesterday - we can now confirm that MONGREL are the indie supergroup comprised of members of Arctic Monkeys, Reverend and the Makers and Babyshambles.
The act are set to release their debut album in October, and will play Dublin's Academy on October 15th.
The members of MONGREL are:
Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys drummer)
Andy Nicholson (ex-Arctic Monkeys bassist)
Drew McConnell (Babyshambles bassist/guitarist)
Jon McClure (Reverend and the Makers singer)
Lowkey (rapper)
