In case you weren't aware, the Super Bowl took place yesterday, which saw the Kansas Chiefs win (and yes, Taylor Swift turned up to support her fella) and there were a lot of album announcements, trailers and ads in the mix (more on that later).

If you're not into the sporting aspect of the NFL showdown, there's always the halftime show to take in - and this year's was provided by r&b star Usher.

The Grammy-winning star performed his biggest hits, including OMG, Yeah!, U Got It Bad, Love In this Club and U Don’t Have to Call, with help from the likes of will.i.am, Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Lil Jon, H.E.R. and Jermaine Dupri.

In perhaps the biggest news of the night, however, Beyonce surprise-announced a new album - 'Renaissance Act II' - which will be out on March 29th.

She also released the first two singles from it, 'Texas Hold 'Em' and '16 Carriages', both of which seem to nod to her Texan roots with a country flavour...
