Only a few days remain until The Liss Ard Festival kicks off. With a great mix of music, food and literary works the Skibeereen in West Cork is the place to be this bank holiday weekend and lets hope the sunshine is here to stay too.

The festival takes place on the stunning grounds of Liss Ard Estate only ten minute walk from Skibeeren. Gates to the festival open at 9am on Saturday 4th of August

How to get there:
Public Transport
Bus
For those of you coming from further a field, Bus Eireann have two bus routes from Cork city centre (Parnell Place) to Skibbereen, No. 237 and No. 252, the journey takes approximately 1hour and 45 minutes so make sure to give yourself plenty of time to catch your favourite act. Check www.buseireann.ie for times and to purchase tickets.

Train
Iarnrod Eireann also have various train services connecting Cork city with numerous towns and cities around the country. Check www.irishrail.ie for times, routes and to book tickets.

A shuttle bus service is also running from Skibereen.

Driving
If you’re travelling by car there will be free car parking just inside the festival grounds as well as ample car parking in Skibbereen.
Vehicle access to the Liss Ard estate will be through Skibbbereen town - head east from Skibbereen town on the N71, at the roundabout take the second exit (turning right) onto the Cork Road. Continue onto North Street and then Main Street/R595. At the Casteltownsend roundabout take the first exit (turning left). Continue on this Road, Castletownsend Road, for 2km then take a right turn, following signs for Tragumna. Entrance to the festival will be 1km down this road.
Make sure to allow for traffic when making travel plans.
 
Pedestrian and bus drop off will be at the main gate on Castletownsend Road.
