Laura Mvula has announced two Irish dates. The highly-thought-of soul sensation will play Dublin's Olympia on Saturday October 12th, and as well the following evening October 13th in the Waterfront Hall in Belfast. Tickets are €25.40 and £22.50 respectively.
A rare Beatles record has fetched over €250,000 in auction in the U.S. The record, a mint condition copy of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band signed by all four members of the band, is thought to be among the most valuable items of Beatles memorabilia in the world.
The Tokyo Rocks festival has been cancelled. Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream, Carl Barat and The Brian Jonestown Massacre were due to headline the Japanese festival on May 11th to 12th next but it has been shelved due to "several factors", which was the only official reasoning given.
Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, The Postal Service, The Killers, Vampire Weekend have been named as the headline acts of this year's Lollapalooza festival. Kendrick Lamar, Ellie Goulding, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Band of Horses and Lana Del Rey will also appear at the Chicago festival across 2nd to 4th August next.
