She may just be 17 but Bridie Monds-Watson, known to you and I as SOAK, is already an established figure on Irish stages. Having played just about every festival last summer, as well as a featured slot at Other Voices in 2012 when she was just north of 15-years-old, SOAK is one of Ireland's more promising singer & songwriters.

The Derry native signed a publishing deal with Universal early last year and that upward curve has continued further with the news that she has now inked a deal with Chvrches' Goodbye Records - the very first signing to the upstart label.

This comes in tandem with the news that Chvrches are set to release The Recover EP in early March, with songs taken from their outstanding debut The Bones of What You Believe.

No word yet on SOAK's next release but having a label and publishing deal in place we don't expect it to take too long.
