When the news came earlier in the week that Snoop Dogg was to leave Interscope Records, his label of the last ten years, he refused to comment on which label he would be working with next... until now.

The rap icon has signed a multi-rights deal with MTV to distribute, market and promote his next album, entitled Malice in Wonderland and due for release later in 2009. The album will feature collaborations with Pharrell and Dr. Dre as well as famous composer Lalo Schifrin. An MTV spokesperson has said that distribution details are forthcoming. The deal is reported to include a new television variety talk show entitled Dogg After Dark, and the introduction of Snoop Dogg's music into the video game Rock Band.

Snoop still refuses to comment on the reason for the move from his long-time label.
