Disco legends Sister Sledge have joined the line-up for the Townlands Festival, which takes place at Rusheen Farm, Macroom in Co. Cork this July.

The 'We Are Family' hitmakers will headline alongside previously-announced acts Kila, Leftfield and King Kong Company across the weekend of July 20th - 22nd. Also on the bill are Ghetto Funk Takeover feat. Stanton Warriors, JFB, WBBL & Ghetto Funk Allstars, The Eskies, The Latchikos, Worries Outernational, Rrradio Gee and Rub-a-Dub HIFI.

Other new additions include UK ragga DJ/MC General Levy, Altern 8, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Carny Villians, Al Jive Mesitzo, Eva Lazarus, Radikal Gura & Cian Finn, Vinyl Below, Strange Weather, Cula Bula, Hotlady, Flipside Selekta & Fake Rolex and Rob Walsh & the Panik Attaks.

The festival promises to "combine the worlds of circus, music and the arts, leaning on tradition while looking to the future". As well as the music, there'll also be a Craft Village, Kids' Area, a pirate-themed Family Area, and lots of other stuff to keep the little'uns occupied.
