UK singer Pete Burns has sadly passed away at aged 57 of a massive cardiac arrest.

The singer was front man of eighties band Dead or Alive, who were known for iconic hits like 'You Spin Me Round' and 'That's The Way (I Like It)'. Since then Pete has taken part in a number of reality shows, including Celebrity Big Brother, and was known for the dramatic amount of plastic surgery he has underwent.

His management team confirmed the sad news in a statement this evening;

"It is with the greatest sadness that we have to break the tragic news that out beloved Pete Burns of (Dead or Alive), died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest.

"All of his family and friends are devastated by the loss of our special star. He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and all of the wonderful memories the has left is with.

"We have no more words, we will make a further statement when we have had a chance to come to terms with our devastating loss.

"He will live forever in our memories.

Lynne was Burns ex-wife who he was married to from 1978 to 2006, and remained on good terms with. Michael was his current partner while Steve was his manager.

The singer was recently on our screens in an appearance on Celebrity Botched Up Bodies last month where he said; "The number of surgeries I’ve has is probably 300. I hope when I’m 80 and I get to heaven God doesn’t recognise me."
