Not only is Sigur Ros keyboardist, Kjartan Sveinsson, set to soundtrack an Irish film, but one by Neil Jordan, and starring Colin Farrell!
The Icelandic group posted a message on their website stating that Sveinsson would write the score for Jordan's upcoming film, Ondine, while several Sigur Ros tunes will also feature on the soundtrack.
In the film, Farrell plays a fisherman named Syarceuse who finds a woman in his fishing net and believes that she's a mermaid. Yep, Sigur Ros will probably do quite nicely for all that splishy sploshy watery type stuff.
