Come on over and play some bops for us, DJ.

To say that we're excited to listen to Dublin's 98FM on a Saturday evening forevermore would be a massive understatement. The radio station has today unveiled a brand new look and they've announced a new DJ that will be hitting the decks this weekend for her first slot - the Irish Queen of pop, Samantha Mumba.

Mumba will present a Saturday night music show called 'Good Time Anthems' which promises to be a mix of old school and contemporary dance and R&B anthems to get us ready for a night on the dancefloor (or for your own living room dancefloor).

As well as some other new faces joining 98FM, including Leanne Hanafin, Níamh Ní Chróinín, and Andy Gleeson, the radio station has also introduced Dublin actor and playwright Emmet Kirwan as the new voiceover of its airwaves.

Samantha Mumba said of hosting her own radio show: "I’m beyond excited to be joining the team at 98FM. As someone who grew up listening to the station and literally calling in with song requests so I could record them on my tape recorder this is a lovely full circle!"

The singer, actor and TV presenter was first discovered by Louis Walsh on a talent show when she was 15, but it wasn't until the age of 17 after the release of her single 'Gotta Tell You' that Mumba became a household name in Ireland. Since then, she's starred in movies ('The Time Machine') and has made regular appearances on ITV's daytime talk show 'Loose Women'. Late last year, she was also a judge on RTÉ's new reality show competition 'Last Singer Standing' with Nadine Coyle.

Here's a classic Samantha Mumba bop to get us in the mood for her Saturday night takeover.
