Ryan Gosling is just too good to be true, isn't he? An Oscar nominated actor, a Hollywood heartthrob, and now a musician as well? Yes, the star of Half Nelson, The Notebook and Lars and The Real Girl has set up a new musical project with his best friend Zach Shields and... wait for it... an enormous children's choir. Gosling plays piano and sings while Shields plays drums and Silverlake Conservatory Children's Choir give the whole thing an air of eerie peculiarity

The duo have entitled the collaboration Dead Man's Bones and intend to release their debut album Never Let A Lack of Talent Get You Down on their own label Werewolf Heart this summer. Gosling told Pitchfork that he wants to focus all his energies on the project: "We've worked on it solid for two years. I made a couple of movies because I had to, but this is all we do."
