Ryan Adams has been very vocal of late on social media, particularly when it comes to his fellow musicians.
It's been quite a while since we've had a good ol' fashioned rock star spat, but Adams recently got in a spot of trouble for his tirade against The Strokes - most notably accusing Julian Casablancas of being 'strung out on lasagna'.
Over the weekend made Father John Misty aka Josh Tillman his latest target in tweets he has since deleted, responding to a tweet from music festival Austin City Limits announcing Tillman's appearance.
“It’s so wonderful you booked the most self-important asshole on Earth to ‘break it all down for us’ while he does his Nick Cave impression" he wrote, later calling him 'Sir Fuckhead' and 'Elton Josh', adding "He sounds like shit Elton John but if he was just sitting in a corner staring at his hands on LSD.”
He took to Instagram yesterday to apologise, saying that he is human 'has bad days', adding "I am very tired but it's no excuse to be cruel to others, even if they have shown me that same meanness."
Tillman, meanwhile, posted his own tongue-in-cheek response to the whole affair on Facebook (click image to play):
‪I'm human & I have bad days. It happens. I apologize. ‬ ‪I took a deep breath & remembered I can always do better‬. As a human I am never going to be done working towards being more compassionate, peaceful and open. So I leave this here as a reminder. I am very tired but it's no excuse to be cruel to others, even if they have shown me that same meanness. It is better to love. With Love, ‪Forgiveness & Peace‬ ‪& Magic‬ XO
