After his controversial three month suspension last year, Jonathan Ross has now received recognition for his 'services to music broadcasting' in the form of the18th Music Industry Trusts' Award.

Previous recipients of the award include Kylie Minogue, George Martin, Elton John and the man responsible for signing Led Zeppelin, Ahmet Ertegun.

Ross may be more well known for his Saturday night TV talkshow, but he has been presenting his BBC radio show for nearly 10 years, promoting up and coming and well established musicians. Last year, he won the Sony Gold Award for Music Radio Personality of the Year.

Chairman of the Music Industry Trusts' Award committee, David Munns, spoke of Jonathan's contribution to the industry.
"For over two decades Jonathan Ross has been an important part of the UK music landscape, and has provided valuable support in challenging times".
