Ronan Keating has filled a lot of column inches due to his personal life lately and he's back in the news today for something a bit more regular - a new album. Keating has this morning announced details of Fires, his first original album in six years.

Keating has reunited with his song-writing partners Greg Alexander and Rick Nowells for the first time in almost a decade. Previously the team composed some of Keating's biggest ever hits, like 'Life Is A Rollercoaster' and 'Lovin' Each Day'.

Speaking about the new album, Keating said: "The album is back to proper pop again. I've been working with the guys behind 'Life Is A Rollercoaster' again. I've been spending my time getting this album just right and I'm excited about people hearing it."

Fires will be released on Friday August 31st.
