Rita Ora was to sing her new song "Let You Love Me" from her album "Phoenix," which gets released today. However, her timing was a few seconds off, and eagle-eyed viewers caught the moment on video.  Here's the mis-hap for you to see.

There's nothing wrong a bit of lip-syncing, especially in downtown New York City freezing your arse off. Needless to say, the reaction online hasn't been kind to poor Rita.

John Legend, who has also sung at Macy's Parade, was quick to rally his support for Rita's mistake. He tweeted, "Fun fact. We all have to lip sync on this parade because the floats don't have the capacity to handle the sound requirements for a live performance. Hope y'all enjoyed it anyway. Know that if you come to my shows, the vocals are 100% live!" Seems like Macy's need to get their sh*t together for next year.

Rita re-tweeted John, saying "thank you for clarifying what I was about to also tweet. It’s annoying for us but anyway! All my shows are 100 percent live always have been!"

Rita seemed to laugh it all off, saying "Now let me go find some turkey!!"
