On Monday,Rihanna released her new song, Sledgehammer, which will feature on the soundtrack of the forthcoming Star Trek Beyond film.

Today she premiered the accompanying music video, directed by Floria Sigismondi - who has previously worked with Justin Timberlake, Pink and Christina Aguilera. It was shot entirely in IMAX, making it the first music video to soley use this format.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sigismondi talked about using the film as inspiration for the music video, saying "It’s about pushing through your boundaries, and Star Trek is also about exploring the unknown, so I drew from that. I wanted to leave the audience with the feeling of an expansive universe, one we all live in yet know so little about."
