Professor Green, or Stephen Paul Manderson as his mother called him, has been arrested on suspicion of lying to the police.
The allegations stem from an incident which occurred on November 3rd, where the rapper was taken in custody on drink driving charges. He had previously phoned the police to report that he had been mugged outside his home. Green was arrested again on Monday November 25th, on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice, and was later released on bail.
Speaking to Sky News, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "A 29-year-old man was arrested on Monday, November 25, on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice after reporting for bail at a southeast London police station. He has been bailed to a date in January pending further enquiries.
Prof Green was initially taken into custody on suspected drink driving after reporting that his Rolex watch had been stolen, but after authorities arrived they noticed that his Mercedes had been involved in an accident.
