Although they only formed earlier this year, Dublin duo TooFools - aka multi-instrumentalists Lorcan Dwyer and Steven McCann - have already made their mark on the Irish music scene, with festival slots at Electric Picnic, Body & Soul and Knockanstockan under their belt.

We sat down with them before they head off to Other Voices in a few weeks to get their take on life's most important questions.

They launch their new EP 'Touch' at Dublin's Button Factory next Thursday, November 24th.

What’s the music that you listened to growing up, that you still listen to today?
The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Chic, Stevie Wonder, Peter Green, Led Zeppelin.

When did you first realise that you wanted a career in music?
[We always had an] overwhelming compulsion to make music.

In three words, describe the minute before you walk on stage.
Excited, nervous, buzztastic

How do you wind down after a gig?
A few cartwheels in the green room or out on the street to get the party started.

What’s the one song you wish you’d written or recorded first?
Michael Jackson - 'Baby Be Mine' (that key change, though)

What song of yours are you most proud of?
Touch.

What’s your favourite venue to perform in?
Vicar Street - we've played there twice now and both times were crazy fun.

Your best and worst gig so far?
Best Gig - Body & Soul. Worst Gig - Our mas making us play for our distant relatives.

Whose career do you envy, and why?
Donald Trump. Best April Fool's prank ever... right? Right????
