Now we know (one of the reasons) why Portishead have decided not to tour for the rest of 2008: their producer/instrumentalist Geoff Barrow has been busy opening an art gallery.
'Friends & co.' opened recently in Barrow's native Bristol, and is said to have pledged to focus on 'outsider art'.
It's currently displaying work by Horrors frontman Faris Badwan, amongst others.
