Portishead's Geoff Barrow has formed a new band with two of his Bristol musician friends, Billy Fuller and Matt Williams. Beak> were formed back in January, and unsurprisingly, play low key electronic and instrumental music.

The band wrote the entirety of their self-titled debut album during a 12-day session, of which Barrow said 'It's really good to create music under different conditions than you're used to.'

'Beak>'is due for release on October 19th of Barrow's Invada label. Invada will also release a limited deluxe edition which includes a bonus CD EP, a 12" vinyl of the album including two bonus tracks and a T-shirt.
