Iron Maiden's mascot Eddie has been a mainstay of their artwork for decades at this point - but it seems that their most recent tour poster featuring the iconic skeleton is a step too far for some people.

The gruesome poster for the English metal band's Book of Souls world tour has been deemed too scary for kids, and an attempt is being made to ban it in Lithuania.

In fairness, the image of a demonic zombie holding its own bloody heart in its outstretched hand is pretty gory.

It's been reported that many have called for its removal from the streets of Lithuania's second city Kaunas - where the band are due to play later this month - because it violates 'child protection' laws that keep under-14s from 'negative information'.
