Bono isn't the only motorcyle-loving rock star out there - it seems that Bruce Springsteen is also a fan of letting his hair down on the open road in his spare time.

In fact, that's exactly what he was doing at the weekend when he was out for a spin in his native Freehold, New Jersey. However, all didn't quite go according to plan and he was left stranded on the side of the road after his bike broke down.

Luckily, a group of bikers from the Freehold American Legion were passing and stopped to lend a hand, before they released it was New Jersey's most famous son.

Posting the below picture to Facebook, they wrote "Unable to get his bike started, Bruce called for help, hopped on the back of Ryan's bike and they drove to Mulligans in Farmingdale. One beer later his ride arrived.

"Dan stated that Bruce was a very down to earth regular guy who fit right in with his fellow, not so famous, Freehold boys. Bruce did take their names and telephone numbers, so maybe they'll be riding together some day!"
