With Pete Doherty incarcerated this afternoon for possession of cocaine (I'll leave it to Sheena to fill you in on the details, if you're interested) his upcoming Irish dates next week have all been cancelled.

The former Libertine was due to play Glasgow's Barrowland venue tonight before heading to Dublin next Friday May 27th to play the Academy, then to Derry's Nerve Centre on the 28th and finally Mandela Hall on Sunday May 29th. The dates will be rescheduled for later in the year, and all tickets will remain valid. Refunds are available from point of purchase for those that so choose.

Doherty is also on the bill for Oxegen this year, but with a six month sentence, it's possible he may have to cancel that appearance as well.
