Well, it appears that Pete Doherty is still gainfully employable.

The Libertines will roll back the years and reunite for a gig in London's Hyde Park in July.
Pete Doherty, Carl Barat and, er, the other ones will headline the British Summer Time festival on July 5th appearing atop a bill which also boasts The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park and The Enemy.

The Libertines have a very storied history, having had more than their share of controversy since forming in 1997 and dissolving in 2004 taking in in-bands clashes, drug addiction and many a tabloid media frenzy along the way. Rumours had been rife that they were to reform, albeit temporarily, after Carl Barat tweeted "keep the 5th July free" - and now we know why.

The Libertines haven't performed together since they 2010 at the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
