After a mysterious 'snake' teaser was posted to her social media account yesterday, speculation has mounted that Taylor Swift is about to release a new single.
It's been four years since her huge '1989' album dropped, but the wait for new material may be over for fans - particularly since her frequent music video collaborator has been hinting at her return.
Joseph Kahn tweeted ahead of Swift's snake teaser yesterday, alluding to the fact that he has some insider info and may have worked with her in recent times.
In 30 minutes, as a show of power, @taylorswift13 will blot out the sun.

Guys please don't look at the eclipse directly because of this tweet. Thanks.

People shouldn't take my tweets literally, metaphorically, alliteratively, seriously, or ironically.

Several other sources have pointed out that Swift is set to attend the VMAs on Sunday - which her rival Katy Perry is hosting, FYI - so a single could be forthcoming either on Friday or debut during the VMAs on Sunday.
Us Weekly reports that Friday will be the day, quoting an insider as saying: "The song is poppy. She’s being very secretive about it [the new album], but it’s going to be a really good one."
Either way, looks like we won't have much longer to wait to find out...
