As a general rule, we here at entertainment.ie tend to abstain from making announcements about foreign festival line ups – partly 'cause we know the decision to festival it up in sunnier climes has little to do with who's playing, and partly because we'd just never get anything else done.

Still, Barcelona's Primavera is one of the top choices for Irish festival goers travelling abroad, and, since they're unlikely to be visiting here as part of their upcoming reunion tour, if you're a fan of Pavement, you might want to consider the trip.

Yep, Stephen Malkmus, Scott Kannberg and co. will headline Primavera Sound 10, taking place from May 27th to 29th 2010. So far it is the only date they have booked for mainland Europe, while they also have three dates lined up at London's Brixton Academy, as well as a slot at the ATP Festival, which is shamefully already sold out. They are the first confirmed band on the Primavera line up, and weekend tickets priced €95 plus booking fee until November 30th, €99 after, are available from ticketmaster, www.ticktacticket.com.
