Following their long awaited reunion in September, 90s cult indie band Pavement have announced details of a 'best of' compilation.

'Quarantine the Past: The Best of Pavement' is due for release on March 5th, to coincide with the beginning of the band's reunion tour in Australia and New Zealand that month. Matador will also be releasing all the Pavement singles on low cost vinyl the same day.

A tracklist has yet to be released, and the band are asking fans to guess which 23 tracks will make the cut. The person whose guess is the closest will win tickets, flights and accommodation to see Pavement when they perform at New York's Central Park Summerstage on September 21st, as well as a set of Pavement 12" vinyl. A blog post on the Matador website hinted that the album "does not include any unreleased material, it definitely digs deeper than the hits." It has also been announced that the first track will be 'Gold Soundz' from their 1994 album 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain'. Runners up can also win Pavement vinyl sets as well as unique editions of the 'Quarantine' album. See Matadorrecords.com for more info on how to enter.

Pavement's May 4th date at Tripod is now sold out.
