There's a lot to be said for chancing your arm in the music business - and as one fan found out, if you don't ask, you don't get.

Musician Claud was in the VIP area at the Chicago date of Taylor Swift's Eras tour, when they spotted a familiar face: actor Paul Rudd.

Claud is and up and coming non-binary musician signed to Phoebe Bridgers' Saddest Factory Records label, and had actually written a song called 'Paul Rudd' - and when they spotted the 'Ant-Man' star, they just had to go and tell him about it.

"I was like, ‘Paul Rudd, this sounds kind of weird but there’s a song on my album, the song’s called ‘Paul Rudd,'" Claud said in a Tik Tok video called 'How I Got Paul Rudd to Make a Cameo in My Music Video'.

Luckily, because Paul Rudd has a reputation for being one of the nicest people in Hollywood, he was open to the discussion and gave Claud his email address to send him the song.

When Rudd told them that he loved the song, that led on to a correspondence between the pair - and when Claud asked Rudd to come along to the video shoot that was happening soon, Rudd ended up spending the whole day there.

Unfortunately, it's not for the song 'Paul Rudd' - but in 'A Good Thing', Rudd makes a cameo as a postman who's not quite sure how to do his job.
