The NYE Mix Tape gig at Dublin's Vicar Street is always a lively affair, and has been a highlight on the music calendar of many a fan over the last few years.

This year's event is taking a specific theme of celebrating 'all of the musical legends we've lost during 2016', which presumably means plenty of Bowie, Prince, Cohen and more.

As always, a backing band will provided the soundtrack for the various rotating vocalists and other musicians who will take to the stage across the evening. This year, that includes Booka Brass, Bell X1's Paul Noonan, Richie Egan (Jape), Niamh Farrell, Kieran McGuinness (Delorentos), Bronagh Gallagher, Jess Kav (Barq), Planet Parade, Pete Pamf, Adam Matthews, Joe Hearns and more special guests TBA.

Doors on the night are at 8pm and the show will start early and finish late, given the night that's in it.

Tickets are €35 and on sale from usual outlets now.
