Bell X1 frontman Paul Noonan and electronic musician Daithí caught most people by surprise when they recently announced that they had formed a new band.

House Plants released their debut single 'What's With All the Pine' in April, and now they have announced details of their debut album.

It's called 'Dry Goods' and will be released on September 17th.

Ahead of that, the duo have also revealed a new single, 'Companero', which is out now and sees Noonan cycling around Dublin city.

"Companero was born as a collective remembering of the marriage equality referendum in Ireland, and the euphoria of the day when people gathered at Dublin Castle to celebrate that milestone in our journey towards becoming a more open, liberal society," said Noonan. "It’s also a banger!... fast and frenetic, with Daithí adding the snarling synth to my singing and drumming… and was the first HousePlants song that we worked on from our respective caves during lockdown, lobbing our parts across the ether."
