Yesterday brought the sad news that Northern Irish guitarist Henry McCullough had died at the age of 72.
His former bandmate Paul McCartney has paid tribute to him, calling the one-time Wings guitarist a 'super-talented musician' and singling out his contribution to Wings song 'My Love'.
"He was a pleasure to work with, a super-talented musician with a lovely sense of humor," McCartney said, "The solo he played on 'My Love' was a classic that he made up on the spot in front of the orchestra. Our deepest sympathies from my family to his."
McCullough leaves behind his wife, Josie, who described her partner as "her one true love."
