Sad news this afternoon with the announcement of the death of Henry McCullough, the Northern Irish guitarist who played with Wings, amongst many other bands and artists.
McCullough had been battling a long-term illness after suffering a serious heart attack several years ago, and passed away today at the age of 72.
Over the course of his illustrious career, he played as a session musician with some of the biggest names in rock music - from supporting Jimi Hendrix to playing with Pink Floyd, Marianne Faithfull, Joe Cocker and more, and even played with the latter at the original Woodstock festival.
He was best known, however, for his role as Paul McCartney's right-hand man in Wings for their first album, playing the guitar on Bond theme 'Live and Let Die'.
His voice can also be heard on the closing bars of Pink Floyd's 'Money', saying "I don't know, I was really drunk at the time".
