Ou Est Le Swimming Pool frontman Charles Haddon has died after jumping from a telecommunications mast in the artists' parking area of Belgium's Pukkelpop festival on Friday.

The London synthpop trio performed their festival slot earlier that day, and were due to play a number of European festivals over the coming weeks, including Paris' Rock En Seine, Amsterdam's Valifest and Bestival on the Isle of Wight. The were also set to be part of the Parklife festival which tours Australia during September and October.

Pukkelpop organisers paid tribute to Haddon on the festival's official website, stating that their "thoughts go out to his friends and family'.

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool released their third single 'Jackson's Last Stand' in July and were ready to release their debut album 'Christ Died For Our Synths' in October.
